All the plants are grown organicallyfrom certified cuttings. All are one year old. Varieties The following varieties of blackcurrants are grown.
Vigorous growth and frost resistant as it flowers late. Good yields of medium sized berries. The fruit is good for juicing or jam. The variety appears to have some resistance to mildew. Gives large fruit on compact bushes. The fruit is early and this variety has resistance to leaf curling midge and appears to have some resistance to American Gooseberry mildew. Gives largish fruit in abundance on a tall, vigorous bush. Generally thought to be of good flavour and has the added advantages of being resistant to frost and mildew. This variety is over 60 years old and has a loyal following of gardeners espousing the view that it's flavour is the best and it's berries the juiciest. Heavy crops are produced on a large spreading bush. Late frosts can be a problem for this variety. A vigorous bush that produces sweet, medium sized berries. It is not grown as much as in the past. One for the connoisseur.
